Mirrored Weaving

Mirrored Weaving, digital design created with iPad using Scribblify and PhotoMirror

Organic Line Design

Weaving Basket, Digital design created on iPad using Scribblify and on Windows PC in Adobe Photoshop CS6

When I began this design I wanted to repeat a gestural swirl shape.  I would have preferred one that was less chaotic.  I continued in this less than organized direction bot decided that it works because of the colors.

Totem Tree

Totem Tree, digital design created on iPad using DecoSketch
My original idea was to create various sizes of the same shape  linked together.  When I finished the first row i made them smaller and changed the color.  This worked a third time.  When finished I believed that I would balance out the form with a simpler variation of the simplified tree as lines.  Although this is interesting, I liked the later designs which play with the idea and symmetry as well as color.

Paint at the Beach

Paint at the Beach, acrylic mixed media
This painting reminds me of water on the sand with the brilliant blue color of water  in the shadow areas.  I used the geometric shape design of the four separate paint areas to organize the painting in an interesting manner.

Smoke Design Example

Endangered  Babies, Mixed Media Smoke Design on Board
When I started this painting I saw the elephants as soon as I smoked the board.  I completed this with acrylic paint and colored pencil.  I was not completely happy with the balance of the painting and cropped it off on one side.  Because so many African Elephants are killed for their tusks, I think that the smoke  and illusive quality of the painting fits the concept.

Line Design

Here is the first line design that I made with my iPad using DecoSketch.  I wanted to modify the tools so that I could control the size and color variations of the same shape.
